Another teaser sampler from my new science fiction novel
Jonnie Fazoolie & the Transfinite Reality Engine
Last on her list and certainly least: Jonnie Fazoolie, an epic piece of work. Her team’s background research reveals a brazen exhibitionist with disdain for convention—and proven results.
Bottom line aside, Fazoolie has percolated to the bottom thanks to extreme stunts and sloppy YouTube videos. His schtick is selling himself as a quirky inventor, his startups never starting.
Along the way, this Jonnie person somehow skirts the boundary between bonafide credibility, and abject failure. Seems the bigger and harder he falls, the more lives are bequeathed to him.
Coming to Penny’s mind is Hugh, a vacuous classmate from elementary school who had zero discernible charm or skills, except for everyone wanting to be his friend. Jonnie is not him.
Fazoolie is instead an unnerving freak everyone tries to avoid, yet for unknown reasons keeps running into. He’s annoying until becoming a habit—and with enough repetition, an addiction.
